Brothers, Jameson (front, age 12) and Ducene (back, age 14) live in the village of Belle Anse, Haiti. You may notice the difference in their size. This is because Ducene has been ill for over 6, with no treatment for possible TB.

In January, while Dr. Virginia Nelson was working in Haiti with R2H, Ducene asked her to look at his leg. She found 3 quarter size holes around his knee, filled with infection and a knee that would not bend. Because of this connection, he is now at the Partner’s In Health hospital, hours away from his home and all he has ever known.

He has had 2 surgeries so far and will need more. PIH does not charge for most care to the Haitian’s for their healthcare, but there are many other costs to be taken care of for Ducene and his guardian during the months that they will be there. For 6 months care: $6,000.

HE BRAVELY STEPPED UP TO ASK FOR HELP.
NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP.
