It’s Giving Tuesday and beyond!  R2H has been helping in Haiti since 2010, when the devastating earthquake hit.  We are now beginning to take bigger steps to further sustainability in the village of Belle Anse, Haiti.
Co-Founders Pierre and Cynthia Balthazar live in Lansing, MI and travel to Haiti several times a year.  Their work is mostly in a small village in southeastern Haiti, called Belle Anse.  Because of the mountains and difficult, sometimes nonexisting roads, the community is cut off from the aid that is given to Haiti.  The Balthazar’s have run a preschool there and have helped many people in the areas of Education, Healthcare and Environmental Sustainability.  This month we’ve learned that the land the preschool classes are held on is being taken over by the owner.  We have until the end of December to be out.  We realize we will not be able to build a new school (which has always been our future plan), until we raise the money to do so.  The mayor has given us enough land (for free), so that we many plan our three phases of building.  The first, being the preschool.  I could talk to you for hours about R2H, so email me anytime at JaniceKNelson@gmail.com or Cindy Balthazar at cynbal11@gmail.com
if you want to learn more about what we do and how you can become a part of the solution.
Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $1 or $5,000. Every dollar helps. Thank you for your support.  We hope you will join us as we begin Phase I, the building of education in Belle Anse, Haiti.
Blessings, Janice Nelson
